Pupil Voice

We value the difference our pupils can make.  Take a quick look at some of the great things they are involved in.

School Council

Our School Council is a hard-working and dedicated group of children who support our school by raising funds and promoting pupil voice.

ECO Committee

Our fabulous, enthusiastic, green-fingered Eco Warriors promote eco awareness, sustainability and global citizenship through a wide range of exciting projects, clubs, fundraising initiatives and links with our fantastic partner school in Lesotho, Thabana Ts'oana Primary School.

Hendre High Notes

Fabulous, exciting, extraordinary singing and dancing is what Hendre High Notes is all about. Hendre High Notes is a fun after school club we attend on Mondays. We love performing and going to competitions and we’re in it to win it!

Digital Champions

Together with the Digital Leaders (Year 5) and Apprentices (Years 4+3) we make an awesome team!  We love helping pupils and staff get the most from the technology we have in school.

Criw Cymraeg

Criw Cymraeg is a new Welsh grwp fendigedig that Cymraeg detectives wych assist other Cymraeg learners with their use of Welsh around our school. We help Miss Baker to improve Welsh skills throughout Hendre Junior School.

House Captains

House and Vice Captains are really keen to encourage their house to be the best they can - especially during Hendre's Eistedfodd and Sports Day events.  The school decided to feature these houses, Afonydd, Cennin Pedr, Cestyll and Dreigiau, in the fantastic art work in our new-look hall.

Attendance Ambassadors

As Dewi, our Attendance Dragon says, "You've gotta be in to win!". Our Attendance Ambassadors are a group of pupils who relentlessly  promote the importance of regular attendance and how this can help raise attainment and improve friendships.

Learning Detectives

Learning is our core purpose and we want our children to be right at the heart of making decisions which influence their learning. The Learning Detectives do this by visiting classes, talking to other children about their work, looking at books, displays and influencing policy reviews. They really enjoy the opportunity to feed their ideas back to staff and governors.

Young Leaders

As Young Leaders we aim to make Hendre Junior School a happy, kind and caring place. This year we plan to WOW everybody with our games and activities.
