The school is situated on the western outskirts of the town of Caerphilly. It stands on the main road that links the A470 to the Rhymney Valley, making it easily accessible from all surrounding areas. The school is a predominantly English medium Junior school which covers Key Stage 2 of the National Curriculum and caters for children between the ages of 7 and 11. Hendre Juniors is in the very advantageous position of being in close proximity not just to its feeder Infants School but also to St Cenydd Comprehensive School, with which it shares a site. This, along with the very close working links between all three schools, provides our children with a continuum of learning from 3 to 18.

The hall is used for physical education, school activities and lunches. We have a kitchen attached to the hall which provides daily hot meals.

This consists of a large yard for football and a free play, an outdoor classroom, large shelter with picnic benches, adventure trail, stage and Hendre’s Haven – a quiet area and Eco Zone- and benefits from two external wi-fi access points.
